Spring represents many things to many people. For the flowers, it’s a chance to bloom. For many of us, it’s a chance to head outside after a long winter indoors and enjoy the fresh air. With all of the big tests, final projects, and team tryouts our children have this time of year, it’s no wonder the schools give our students a week off to just breathe.
I’m a big fan of taking a well-deserved break. But as much as we all deserve a week off here and there, there’s also the pressure to metaphorically “spring forward” as well. As soon as the ice melts, there’s an urge to deep clean the house, declutter our belongings, and spring clean every inch our lives just in time for the tulips to bloom.
So what should we aspire to? To rest or to hustle? Crank down the volume or crank it up? Why not both?
Take a nap! Take on a big project at work!
Take time for yourself! Take whatever steps you see fit because you’ve worked hard and deserve to transform your situation into whatever version sounds great during this season of life.
Over the next few months, I hope you all bloom like the changing landscape around us. Go outside. Take a road trip. Clean your house. Have a picnic. Meet your goals and have fun while doing it.
If you need a photographer for cute Easter pictures, I know a girl. 😉 Here’s to the season of renewal. May we all spring forward in the best way possible.
